The main feature of WPC facade panels compared to siding is a fixing system. The siding must be fixed tightly to a side rail, whereas the facade panel has a floating, but hidden fixing. Such a way of fixing helps facade panels adjust to the weather. Any material tends to either expand or contract due to temperature changes, so polymer-based materials may expand/contract by 1% in case of significant temperature drops. For example, if the panel length is 3m, it’s going to be 3mm of size changing. To mask those size changes, there is used special bracing, that let the panels expand or contract along the whole length and width.
WPC facade panels are supposed to be used for private house construction and low-rise buildings. Due to invisible venting gaps, they can be used for creating ventilated facades. Also, facade panels are often used as decorating cladding of stores, booths, and toilet cabins.
The mounting is carried out with metal, aluminum, or WPC side rails. You need only two additional things – the starting strip and the L-shaped side panel, which we have in our product range.
